NOGALES, Sonora - Deportees arrive here each day by the hundreds, desperate and destitute, escorted off buses by U.S. immigration agents and marched across the border into Mexico.

Some limp along in bedraggled clothing, their feet blistered and flesh torn by cactuses and thorns, their soiled faces downcast in defeat and shame. These are the recent crossers who got caught by Border Patrol agents after hours or days in the desert.

Others, clean-cut in American clothes, were captured after years living illegally in the shadows. Many entered the United States as children, when U.S. businesses welcomed their laborer parents and the government looked the other way. They built careers and started families, raising kids who are U.S. citizens.
At Mexico's edge, deported migrants are left in limbo

Cry me a river, criminals.

If us Gringos infested Mexico in the above manner----------the Patrulla Frontera would not be as nice, shall we say.

If they had only stayed in their country they would not have any of these problems.

What is the "Patrulla Frontera"... is it a group in Mexico like the Minutemen?

The Mexican equivalent of our Border Patrol. Their police vehicles tend to either be Dodge Chargers and/or Ford CVPI's that are painted brown, I believe.

Who cares what it's called! AB said they would not be as nice to Americans as our BP is to the Mexicans. Is that so hard to believe?

And all these deportees can cry me a friggen river, too. I only wish the buses had gone much further into Mexico before they dropped off the scum. They are NOT our problem, let Mexico deal with their own poor.

They need to be taken to the southern tip of Mexico!! Not just dropped across the border!!!

Put them on a boat in Brownsville(wonder why it is called Brownsville?) and float them to their southern homeland.

Is anyone paying attention to the line from the article, "and the government looked the other way" ?
Paraphrased: Certain industries and businesses needed them and the US government allowed them in and now that they are not needed anymore they are booted out. They were not allowed in legally on purpose so they could be treated and exploited this way.
The US government allowed this to happen at your expense and you get mad at the illegal alien victim and not the real perpetrators: the businesses who hired them and the government that "looked the other way." The common American taxpayer is a victim along with these deportees but people continue to wave their American flags and continue to bend over for it. We were used, the Mexican immigrant was used and certain people made a fortune and promised others in the government thousands of votes and/or dollars to "look the other way" And everyone keeps focusing their anger on the wrong group. If nothing changes nothing changes. This whole tragic comedy was masterfully planned and people are still swallowing the bait whole, still attached to the hook. They have you trapped in a fake us against them battle that keeps you weak and unthreatening while some post cartoons of characters playing violins....How blind can some people be?

And the US government looked the other way back in the Jim Crow law days as well------------things change and in the case of the illegals---------it is past time for the 'hired help' to go home without making a fuss.
