Arizona̢۪s new law requiring employers to check on the legal employment status of their employees went into effect at the beginning of the year. Your take on this new law?

It is a good idea. Taking away the economic incentive for illegal immigrants to cross the border should put a good dent in the number of illegals entering the United States.

I suppose it is necessary, though I don̢۪t necessarily like the role of immigration enforcement being placed on the backs of employers.

Bad idea. States can̢۪t piecemeal immigration laws in what is obvious federal jurisdiction.

Why are we picking on people who just want a better life for themselves and their families? Isn̢۪t America a land of immigrants.
