For decades, U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., has been a national advocate for Latinos and immigrants, holding their hands at immigration reform rallies and pushing for legislation in Congress to expand their legal rights. But with Menendez now facing federal corruption charges, Latino groups fear that their tireless champion will have to turn his attention to his own problems, leaving them without a voice in Washington.

Immigration Reform 2015: What Menendez Corruption Charges Mean For National Debate On Immigrant Rights

Good. The pro illegal fans tried to take down people like Sheriff Joe, and they're mad over 1 of "their own" being taken down in return by US law?

Well, they'll always have Luis Gutierrez to back them. Advocate for Latinos and "immigrants"? "Immigrant" rights?

Agreed tho IMHO Gutierrez will now be looking over his back because the legal system might have a bulls eye on him too.

It's always nice to see corrupt politicians go down! I wish it happened more often.

They mentioned that it's rare for politicians to have the actual charge of bribery because it is very difficult to prove. So that is quite telling. The fact that this guy is charged with BRIBERY means the feds must have some solid evidence on him.

I'm starting to wonder if because it's def time for REAL "change" and, the Harry Reids, Hillarys, Obama's boys, la raza fans and many other anti US troublemakers are being "taken out" 1 by 1. Yeah; I know, maybe "tin foil hat" time here, but I wonder.

It's NOT Immigration Reform. It's "Amnesty for Illegals".

I love how the article says Menendez defended "immigrant rights". He did no such thing. Instead he defended "illegal alien rights".
