Sometimes it gets downright ridiculous. How dare those gringos make the good Latino students of Chicago take tests in English. After all, we all know that the Americans stole Illinois from Mexico in the Mexican-American War of 1848.
Agree completely! I am sick of this BS with the Hispanics in this country. It really is sickening, especially considering that there are wonderful Hispanic citizens who love this country. They hate the illegals and the idiot latino activists also.
maybe if mommy and daddy illegal knew OUR language
to begin with... thier anchor baby may have learned OUR language!

Everything has always been in ENGLISH.. our language.. they
knew this before they slithered acrossed the border.
Why do the mexicans feel they deserve extra special treatment!
What about the russians, the chinese, the ukranians, the french,
and hundreds of other non-english speaking languages.. should we
print books and give tests in every language.. NO!
LEARN ENGLISH if you are legal and able. Illegal means you don't
belong here in the first place.. go home and take your anchors with you!

In all fairness: we have had many legal* immigrants who cannot speak Engish; that stated-------their US born children should be fluent in said language by age 12, tops.
this is , unfortunately, a repercussion of the federal mandate about printing material from the feds on other languages if a certain percentage of a population need the service.
I believe this may have started under ole bill.....but I may be wrong.
Bottom line.....when we the tax payer had to pay for the printing of a foreign language, that started the landslide of language rights.
Talk show pundents warned of that even then.
The balkanization of america has begun.
The only question remaining is will the school board cave or hold fast?
