An old myth of "Reconquista' (Re-conquest) Supporters is that 'Mexican' is somehow a race and not a nationality and that 'Mexicans' were somehow indigenous to the southwestern United States. Both are lies made up by racist brown-supremacist groups and even taught to children in some schools south of the border.

Let us Review:

Mexico was founded when the SPANISH colonists declared independence from SPAIN.

There was no Mexico and therefore no Mexicans until the invaders from EUROPE declared independence from Spain in 1810.

In fact, the REAL Native Americans are still alive today, thriving on and off reservations and most of these American Nations are Federally Recognized.

The people who were 'here first' in California were the Chumash, Tongva and other NATIVE AMERICAN tribes. They built a civilization that goes back thousands of years.

The Aztecs NEVER lived in the United States either. The Aztecs ARE NOT indigenous to ANY US Territories Rewriting history to say there was anything remotely like a "Mexican" before 1810 is a vicious lie is an insult to the brave men and women who have fought and died for this country - and are still fighting to this day. I busted out laughing at this one. Mexican history tells us that the Aztecs were Native Americans who migrated down south in search of the Eagle on a cactus eating a snake.

They were. They migrated south from the approximate location of the modern day state of Hidalgo to Tenochtitlan where they supposedly saw the eagle on a rock in the middle of a lake, situated where modern day Mexico City now sits. Neither the Aztecs, nor their predecessors ever settled in the modern day U.S.A.

Anthropologists conjecture that the ancestors of the Aztecs were mainly the Toltecs. Linguistically, both the Toltecs and Aztecs spoke Nahuatl. The worship of Quetzalcoatl the feathered serpent god of the Aztecs, as well as the Legend of the Fall of Tollan, which supposedly signaled the end of the Toltec regime are both prevalent in each culture, likely passed down through the generations.
