Funderburk found not guilty of disorderly conduct

A Lugoff roofer who gained national attention for getting arrested while protesting illegal immigration was found not guilty of disorderly-conduct charges Wednesday in Columbia Municipal Court.

Terry Funderburk, 52, who calls himself The Lone Protester and was featured on a national TV news program, was arrested July 16 in an affluent Columbia subdivision after police said he caused a disturbance while protesting workers installing copper roofing on a home.

You can read his WHOLE story at Illegal Immigration ALIPAC . This man has been a contractor in Carolina for over 30 years and watched as illegal labor drove him to the brink of bankruptcy. If you want to learn how illegals effect wages, read this man's story.

I doubt he would, but...can he now turn around and sue someone for violating his civil rights, Re: freedom of speech and IMO false imprisonment.

Arrested for calling someone a name in a public protest. I here words much worse than that everyday I go out in public, and haven't seen anyone arrested for what they say yet.

I guess they couldn't think of any other way of saying it - what's the difference between "protesting" and "disorderly conduct"? I've protested in my life, and was not arrested.

So, they used "disorderly conduct", because protesting is legal.

Another win for our side - yea!!

Funderburk believed the workers were illegal immigrants because he said they looked Hispanic.
This is why PL, pretty obvious to me that Hispanic = Illegal.

Did anyone find out if they were illegal?

Sounds like the guy will protest any Hispanics.

Since he lost his business, apparently, because of illegals taking jobs with other companies, and he couldn't compete by hiring American citizens, he probably pretty much knew what these companies were up to, and knew what the workers were being paid.
