I think perhaps the issue is that people no longer have compassion for others, the if it doesn't effect me, why should I care. We all know, well, those of us able to think and feel, that eventually it will catch up with all of us if it isn't stopped. They will turn our country into a 3rd world dump making their issues our issues.
It is almost like the word on the streets in the countries where these pervs are coming from is that we tolerate child molestations here. It does seem we encourage them by not protecting borders, I will give them that.
