So yesterday I saw there were a couple of pages of replies to this, but I didn't have time to join back into the discussion.

There are no pros. You'd have tens of millions of poor people who don't speak a word of English, carrying enough Electoral College votes to carry all future elections for the Democrats no matter what else happens to the 'swing states'.

A better plan would be to give California to Mexico in exchange for some magic beans.
