Halted Border Wall Contracts Cost Taxpayers $6 Million a Day (illegal aliens, law, Mexico)

The immediate and long-term fiscal impacts of the cancelled construction far outweigh the $2.6 billion that the American people will supposedly save. In total, we have already paid these contractors more than $400 million to do no work. Furthermore, according to a FAIR study, illegal immigration costs taxpayers $135 billion annually, an expense that continues to grow every year. The wall is a one-time cost that has a positive impact on fiscal costs across the nation. Sacrificing our nation’s security carries costs that last lifetimes.
The wall was financially a no brainer. Even if it only reduced the expenditures on illegals 10% of the total $135 Billion spent annually, it pays for itself in ~6 months. You can't place a value on the reduction of CBP officers killed, women/girls sex trafficked, drug smuggling reduced, etc. The stoppage of the wall project and open border policy of this administration is a big hairball spit in the face of US citizens and LEGAL immigrants alike.
Lastly, if you showed up at a pro-illegals home with a couple of illegals and a "affidavit of financial support" form to them to fill out and sponsor them, they would slam the door in your face.
This was supposed to happen in increments over time. In the meantime we needed the funds to get the wall started and built. Let me guess, you don't want the wall anyway because it doesn't fit in with your pro-illegal alien agenda. You and yours fool no one with your constant harping about Mexico paying for the wall!
Did you whine and cry back in 2006 when under Obama 700 miles of inferior fencing were built compliments of the taxpayer? No of course you didn't because you're all hypocrites! What does it matter who pays for it anyway since the good walls built under Trump so far have been 90% effective in deterring illegal entry in those areas?
The traitors among us are Biden who refused to finish the wall and those like him who want the flow of illegal aliens, criminals, drug runners and those from known terrorists countries to continue. Biden owns this for stopping the building of the wall! To twist it otherwise is just plain lame and juvenile but expected from the resident pro-illegals in here! Biden was supposed to honor the contracts for building it not end them. They were already signed and agreed on by the president and the contractors themselves. They should sue Biden!

Biden could have at least allowed the workers to finish out the contract. We now have piles of wall panels sitting there rusting away.
What is so wrong about requiring the "migrants" to come through a gate to be processed?
I wonder how many of these Anti Wall people hop the fences at the amusement park or tunnel underneath the barriers to avoid paying the entrance fee? How many skip the line and illegally enter through the backstage door to get into a concert? How many lock their doors and windows at night to avoid waking up the next morning to find a family has moved in and they now have their hands out, expecting to have their every need from breakfast to healthcare to education addressed?
Why is the back door to America any different than protecting our own homes from thieves or people just looking for a better life?

Well of course they wouldn't try to sneak over the walls or through a backdoor. Because they know that those companies have security that would catch them. As for locking their doors, not only do they lock their doors but they have full-blown alarm systems to make sure that people will not get in.

trump clearly said that Mexico would pay for it. They didnt. I dont recall Obama telling the American people that Mexico would pay for the crappy fencing that was put up back then. If you have that footage I would love to see it.

What difference did it make if Obama said Mexico or the U.S. would pay for the 700 miles of fencing since they were well needed and the cost was a mere pittance of what illegal aliens cost annually? It was the taxpayer who funded it and yet you had no problem with it? It's all about who said what???? Huh? What price do you want to put on our national security and economic welfare?
