This lady would be a positive example to all immigrants IF she came legally.
You only took half of her quote of "I came here illegally to get a better life, my family was disintegrating." She left her country for safety and to reunite her family. Economic reasons was not at the top of her list survival and family were. Regardless, sounds like she made every effort assimilate as quick as possible which is what most people on this forum seem to resent of those who come here and don't.
This story can hardly be considered ‘typical’ for the majority of illegal aliens. Most are not fleeing a war-torn environment; are not educated prior to their arrival in this country; and are not willing to accept responsibility for their lives. Rather, they come here to make MORE money than possible in their countries of origin, and expect the U.S. taxpayers to subsidize their lives.
