The announcement comes close to 9 months after Governor Ron DeSantis signed an executive order, taking aim at stopping illegal immigration into the state. Part of the order also targets children by directing Florida’s Department of Children and Families, not to renew license's of the more than dozen providers statewide who temporarily house unaccompanied migrant children for the federal government.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. No way should we be allowing unaccompanied minors into our country. They are their parent's responsibility. Just where are their parents anyway? Did they just up and leave them? They must not have loved their parents then. Did their parents abandon them and are here already illegally themselves? How could they do that to their children?

The article goes on about some of these kids waiting to be reunited with their family here. What family would they have here? Many unanswered questions and we are fools to allow this crap to continue.

And another 138 unaccompanied minors just crossed the border. They were part of a group of 250 that turned themselves in so more unaccompanied minors than adults in that group.

They should all be sent back to where ever they came from.

I wonder if the parents are sending the kids hoping they get citizenship and sponsor them in the future, and if the kids do get citizenship, they will be able to bring family in. Otherwise, these are probably "street kids" and nothing we should have to deal with!

I wouldn't doubt it. How can they send their minor children up to our border where they may get killed or raped along the way? It could be years before these kids gain our citizenship if they gain it at all. In the meantime they are separated from them by choice and may be for many years or they might not ever even see them at all again. It's shameful!
