Good grief, hypocrisy abounds.
Legal immigrants don't need work permits to work, they have green cards which enable them to work legally in this country. Malkin's dad came to the U.S on a temporary work visa and and few months later michelle was born. According to michelle malkin's definition, she qualifies as an "anchor baby".

Sooooo, Malkins dad was here legally when she was born.
Spin it anyway you want .... she was born to legal immigrants - temporary work visas or not. Also, did her parents eventually become US citizens? Or did the hide in a catholic church claiming sanctuary? Did they pay their hospital bill? Were they sef sufficient? Seeing as her father was a doctor, I am sure that a permanent visa was forthcoming, they payed their bills and they did everything the legal way.

Again -- children born to legal immigrants are not anchors. They merely achieved citizenship a little sooner then their parents. Children born to illegal immigrants are anchors -- they are the only hope said illegals have of remaining indefinately in a foreign country that they have no right to be in.

You still don't get my point do you? Michelle Malkin is against giving citizenship to babies born to temporary visa holders, YET she benefited from the same thing. She's a hypocrite that's all.

Is this your opinion; or do you have something to substantiate your claim? If so, please share.

Michelle Malkin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
Malkin was born in Philadelphia to Filipino parents, Dr. Apolo and Rafaela Maglalang, in the United States on a work visa. Her maternal grandfather fought under General Douglas MacArthur. She grew up in Absecon, New Jersey, and graduated from Oberlin College. In 1993, she married Rhodes Scholar and RAND Corporation economist Jesse Malkin, with whom she has two children.

These are michelle malkin's own words. I never said her parents were illegal immigrants.

Quote:
Clearly, the custom of granting automatic citizenship at birth to children of tourists and temporary workers such as Hamdi, tourists, and to countless "anchor babies" delivered by illegal aliens on American soil, undermines the integrity of citizenship-not to mention national security. Originally intended to ensure the citizenship rights of newly freed slaves and their families after the Civil War, the citizenship clause has evolved into a magnet for alien lawbreakers and a shield for terrorist infiltrators and enemy combatants.
If the courts refuse to close the birthright citizenship loopholes, Congress must. Citizenship is too precious to squander on accidental Americans in Name Only.
Michelle Malkin

Her parents came here on a work visa and gave birth to her while they were still on the work visa. In her definition..not mine, she's qualifies as an "anchor baby".
