The volunteers, from Green Valley and Nogales, picked up about 3,000 pounds of trash likely discarded by illegal immigrants, who frequently travel through the area near the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains, said Mark Shaffer, a spokesman for the environmental department.

3,000 Pounds of trash? That goes to show how dirty and disrespectful these criminals are..

For all those "Liberals" screaming for the rights of "Undocumented Immigrants", keep in mind that the proliferation of Illegal Aliens are NOT good for the enviornment due to their massive consumption AND their high birth rates.. More people = overpopulation..

This is one of the dirty secrets about maintaining our porous border pro illegal groups don't want to recognize.
The same people who deride those who drive suvs do not aknowledge the ecological damage being done in the name of an open border. Someone had posted a story awhile back about a prominent environmental groups not being allowed to talk about the destruction to the environment by illegals. Does anyone remember that and can link it? It really is shameful how far people will go to make their position seem 'clean'.

The back country near the border is embarrassing with the amount of trash on the trails.

I can't link to this but I do remember it, there was a video. One group was trying to clean up the garbage and the ACLU (yeah...of course!) was standing by because, in their words, "That is someone's property" and if the cleanup crew touched it the ACLU was going to sue for trespassing or theft or some such bullsh*t. It was pathetic and SHAMEFUL on the part of the ACLU.

I've seen the trash first-hand near the San Diego/Mexico border in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. It's SHOCKING. Piles and piles and piles of trash everywhere. It made me cry.
