Illegal aliens victimized in phony 'international driver's license' scam (illegal immigrants, FBI, Hispanic)

MEMPHIS — Authorities in Memphis say illegal immigrants are being victimized by a phony driver’s license scam.

The Commercial Appeal newspaper quoted FBI Special Agent C.M. Sturgis in Memphis saying some of the scams are operated by other immigrants and offer an ‘‘international driver’s license.’’

‘‘People with the same heritage are victimizing one another, and it’s not right and it’s not fair,’’ Sturgis said.
