No, several states have passed laws banning illegal aliens within their state. They have no control over what other states do.
Where the problem is going to lie, as voters, vs. an appointed position.
The people voted to pass laws. That holds more weight than an persons opinion, that was appointed by the president and not by someone elected to the position.
Then you have the Supremacy Clause.
What HLS has proposed to take effect, is not a law. It is one persons opinion, of laws already established, and not voted on.
Big difference.
That is why the feds can't do anything about Sheriff Joe, as much as they want to try. He was elected by the citizens, not appointed by liberal politicians. He can't be fired! He has been re-elected what 5 times now, or is it 7 times. The people have spoken.
