STATE OF EMERGENCY:: Illegal immigrants burden UMC - News - ReviewJournal.com

Once they show up at the hospital they should be arrested and deported and sent back to their home country for treatment and not receive regular care. Of course if is a life and death matter stabilize then deport.

Highlight of the article illegal immigrant family dad in jail, mom getting regular dialysis treatments, and four kids being taken care of by others. Whole family should be sent back.

Remember, they're only doing the jobs that stupid, fat & lazy Americans won't do.

To think otherwise would be racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant, bigoted, anti-Hispanic, nativistic, etc.

This article is definitely worth reading. I am absolutely speechless......

Quote:
Since April, UMC has been spending about $2 million per month providing emergency dialysis services to 80 illegal immigrants, Brannman said.

He projects that these services at UMC could run more than $24 million in the current fiscal year.

In each of the five prior years, the hospital provided the same emergency services to half as many illegal immigrants for a little more than $1 million per month.

Brannman said the hospital receives no reimbursement from federal, state or local sources to provide this life-saving treatment for people who have entered the country illegally.

<snip>

"When we're projecting a budget deficit of $70 million for fiscal year 2010, you can see that $24 million in dialysis treatment that's not reimbursed is an awfully big chunk," Brannman said.
Your hard earned tax dollars at work.

Why aren't we billing Mexico and Guatemala for this? Can you imagine being a tourist in a foreign Country and asking their govt to provide this? We are playing Father Joe for the planet with an empty bank account.

I thought the birth rate in Mexico was 2.6 kids per family.

In Mexico it is -- because the irresponsible breeders come to the USA where giving birth very often gets them more food stamps, bigger government housing and costs them nothing at all.

If you are an unwed pregnant teenage girl and know that having your baby in Mexico means a life of hard work but having the baby in the USA means a life of generous welfare handouts, WIC, food stamps, free health care, government housing and mortgage assistance, free college, cradle to grave government handouts, then obviously you will make the trip over to a border hospital and it's the gravy train the rest of your life.

.........and, that gravy train is fixin' to be jumping the tracks very soon with the tightening budget constraints in even California.

I think in exchange for taking care of the illegals medical bills in this country, Mexico should just send us free oil. Fair trade.

I think for everything we taxpayers (UNWILLINGLY) spend on illegal aliens, we should DEDUCT that dollar amount from the blasted millions and billions of FOREIGN AID we give their countries! I wonder if the prospect of their foreign aid check being reduced dollar for dollar when their citizens leech off of us would suddenly make the border cross at Mexico a lot tougher on the Mexican side?

Another thing is, we should have a TAX of at least 10% on all personal transfers of US currency out of the country ... from Western Union to writing checks ... ALL OF IT.
