Sounds like what's been going on in Juarez for the past 20 years - and nothing at all stops a rapist-murderer from crossing that thin border and heading wherever they like in the USA.
Mexico is complaining about these people (and they belong to that country) also so it's hardly racist to dislike what is going on.
They're breaking into people's homes, if they encounter people home while burglarizing them, they're raping them. This article discusses how the thugs are just doing what ever they wish and can because they're allowed to do so.
This crime is shocking; this girl was snatched while walking to her car with friends! She was not even alone!
And just think; if these illegal scumbags were not here, this girl would not have to be dealing with the horrific aftermath of a rape/kidnapping for the rest of her life. Disgusting.
Arevalo was deported days after being arrested in a 2001 Dallas theft case, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reported. That deportation is one of many over the last several years in which defendants awaiting trial for violent crimes in Dallas County have been deported and set free in their home countries.
Luis Zuniga was arrested on a burglary charge in Dallas earlier this year, according to records. No criminal record could be found for Alfonso Zuniga, who confessed to both the robbery and the rape, the documents said.
Lakewooder, I came here to post this subject and glad to see you beat me to it. I have a lot of respect for the Hispanic community but this is a great example of how illegal immigration affects us in our daily lives.
I would suspect that since many of the jobs the illegals were doing are gone they will resort to more crime to support themselves.
Crime is indeed on the increase with the drop in our economy. I opened my morning paper and there were three incidents of theft all people with Hispanic names. Now they could be legals but I doubt that most Hispanic citizens are doing this.
Growing up in East Dallas, I have many hispanic friends - you ought to see the names of my friends on Facebook! In no way do I think all hispanics are bad or are illegal. But you are right, it's not fair that the illegals sometimes cast suspicion on others with Spanish surnames.
This crime happened near a small neighborhood where I own two properties. Also I am a graduate of SMU and have friends with children there. In the first part of the crime spree a man was assualted on Alcott Street, which is in a very nice little tight-knit neighborhood. It's fairly diverse racially but economically you would have to classify most of the residents as 'yuppies' or 'bohemians'.
We had a meeting last night and of course everyone is outraged. We also have an email chain going on the subject.
It's sickening that one of these criminals was previously deported and sneaked back in to do these dastardly deeds.
When you are close to some of the illegals you can see how most laws are ignored and there is little effort to enforce them or bring people to justice in fear that it may be interpreted as racism. 99% of them do not go to this extreme but there is a general disregard for rules and regulations, IMO.

My area is experiencing the complete opposite. In Minneapolis and St. Paul crime is way down for the 2nd straight year in almost every category. As one example, in the last decade Minneapolis has had anywhere from 50-95 murders/year. This year I think there have only been about 14, which is completely unheard of.
