Calls for closing the border and deporting all illegal immigrants – which some extreme anti-immigrant groups have called for in Arizona – would have dramatic negative impacts to state economies. Using the Texas Comptrollers’ report again, a removal of 1.4 million illegal immigrants from Texas would cost the state $18.5 billion in personal incomes and $66.5 billion in exports, among other major economic impacts.
“The Texas economy cannot adjust completely to the loss of this labor [through the removal of illegal immigrants] and retain its competitiveness,” the Comptrollers’ office said in its report.
Arizona faces a similar problem.

The article mentions that AZ would lose tax revenues as a certain percentage of illegal aliens pay income tax etc. Whatever that percentage is, is still lower than what us citzens/leagl immigrants would contribute in tax revenue. You see when US citizens/legal immigrants work the state/fed will get 100% of available tax revenues. This article fails to mention this.

As far as the lettuce farmer complaining about a lack of labor. I am all for guest worker programs. You come here through the proper channels with permission as a legal immigrant for a few months to work in the fields then you leave. Nothing wrong with that. If he can't run a business abiding by the law then the business should not have existed in the first place. Its like me saying, the only way I can turn a profit in my shoe business is if I cheat on my taxes.

We would not be facing this problem now, would we, should our Federal Government, done something about this negative, pesky problem, years ago, when things were not so out of control.

A greater impact will be on sales tax front. And businesses that have relied on their labor will be raising their cost of doing business and providing services as well.

Arizona is in for a rude awakening, considering its economy was already in shambles. The incompetents probably thought that diversion into highly polarizing immigration issue would help distract from the ongoing issue, considering the elections.

How much value do you put on the soverneignty of your country? How much value do you put on your culture and language?

We are under no obligation to do a economic balancing test to determine whether we should let illegals stay here and get amnesty/citizenship. They are foreign invaders with an agenda to gain political power through lobbying and demonstrating. Once they have Hispanics in enough positions of power they will make Spanish the official language and enable everyone in Mexico to come here who wants to. That will be the end of the United States of America.

Sorry, but the decision was taken from us. What we need now is reality to those with their heads in the sand and those who are confusing aiding and abetting the destruction of this country with compassion. The power seemed to lie within our political system. Just watch how swiftly things will fall for illegal aliens, like dominoes....PC is over, reality has awakened this sleeping Giant and we'll take care of this as the wise elders do of any community.

Regarding the benefits from illegal aliens, well, they have made us all reinvest in our country, they have made us reignite our patriotism, they have made us defend our sovereignty, they have defined who we are as Americans. They have made us decide we do not want derelicts running this country...so for those few things and more, thank you, for that, you are beneficial.
