You are going to see a pretty substantial drop in domestic migration rates in this country due to the housing mess. For the first time since 1945, U.S. homeowners owe more than their homes are worth. I guess that population stabilization could be a good thing for the Northeast and Midwest though.

agree with you there. Even a 5 degree difference between DC and Southern VA.

I noticed too that the winters between Rockville Md and Alexandria S of the Beltway were slightly different (milder).
