Of course they want their citizens to be legalized in the US. They’re hoping to join them.

Quote:
“The US cares more about drug violence than immigration reform,” says Federico Gonzalez, a retired government worker in Mexico City who says he has little faith that a new immigration law will be on the books any time soon. “It is always the same. [US presidential candidates] promise it during their campaigns, and then they do nothing.”

But while US priorities might be on security, for many Mexicans, their main wish is legal status for the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country.

“The US will have to make a reform, the country each day is comprised more and more of Mexican migrants,” says José Luis Sandoval, a photographer in Mexico City. “Even if Obama does not want to do it, the country will have to.”

Memo to Sandoval et al: we the people of the USA do not have to do jack for Mexico's rejects.

Besides: what are you insolent losers going to do when there are US boots on the ground in places like Juarez and Tijuana to cripple the drug cartels since Mexico City seems unable to rule its own nation?

"“We believe that [the government] shouldn’t fall into the excess of celebrating [too early], or standing by idly, since immigration reform will help prevent the deaths of about 700 Mexicans each year when they try to cross over to the United States,” he was quoted as saying in the local press."

If 700 people die each year crossing the desert then those 700 people signed their own death certificate. They have no one to blame but themselves. (Except for the children, they are dragged along and their death would be on their parent's head.)
I just can't see how amnesty would make stupid people smarter.

I think it is fair to say this is a concern of many, no matter the schooling, it is a cultural generational thinking which usually does not change. If it ever does it takes many generations AFTER the plight is first recognized and then passed down to several lines...that is just not going to happen either.

Well Mexico if US cities are so bad why do your people seemed so determined to come live in them?
I am sorry but I really and honestly don't care if Mexico agrees with how we manage our immigration. The fact That it is Mexicans who are the greatest violators of our immigration laws makes me care even less.
Mexico preaching to us about crime and or corruption??? That was a great laugh.
