This is what I was really afraid of for Arizona....

When the deputy approached the vehicle, he was shot in the stomach, said Lt. Tamatha Villar, spokesperson for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. The deputy said one of the suspects was armed with an AK-47 rifle.
This isn't a result of what's happening with the new Arizona Bill and it isn't something new to Arizona. It has become more and MORE of a problem in recent years, which is why Arizona has stepped up to the plate to try to do something about it since the Federal Government has tried to ignore the situation. Uniformed and ignorant media and individuals who do not understand this is what will ultimately cause more friction here, so people, before you start yelling and screaming racism before you know the facts, think of the consequences this will have on the people of Arizona.
Do you want a war like Mexico is having with drug cartels on our turf? I think not man, that's entirely different than your home depot illegal.
It's the open borders crowd that wants no fence, no border patrol, no questions asked of any illegal whatsoever. Of course many drug traffickers are here illegally. Why else has Phoenix become the kidnap capital of the world, second only to Mexico City. Higher than Mexico City if you consider per capita kidnappings.

The drug cartels should be the #1 priority of who we make sure doesn't make it across along with terrorists. Like many have suggested, put the troops on the border, and let them deal with the drug cartels with extreme prejudice.
