I have a theory and I would like to know if anyone else thinks that it is correct. I think the rediculous expensive places like my city Washington DC are that way because of illegals. You look at citys that have had a huge influx of illegals LA, Washington, New York and San Fransisco and look at the cost of living after they arrived. In all those places it just went through the roof.

If it wasn't for illegals that are willing to live 20 to house or take over entire districts of the city making them hostile to citizens then citys would never be able to function at these sky high prices because the working class would eather leave and move to less expensive areas or the businesses would have to pay there employers better salaries and this would decrease the business oppurtunities in the city. The city would level itself out because if it would get to expensive then it would begin to loose restraunts, construction companies grocery stores anything things that make city life possible.

There was an article a while back in the Washington Post that said the average household income in DC is $45,000 and in that same article it said that only 15% of the housing in the DC area is considered "affordable" at this salary...

Just another way on how the Bush Administration is destroying the middle class. Now the average American can't live in the cities that have the jobs on ythe illegals and the rich. Will all be peasents again by the time he is out of office.

Oh yeah, illegals cause a huge housing shortage, and it doesn't stop there. Look at California, they have about 8 to 10 million illegals. Remove them from the state and all sudden the water shortage isn't so bad, the electrical brownouts and blackouts don't occur so often, the freeways aren't as crowded, less vehicles so less smog, and with less traffic you would have less accidents. The list goes on and on.
