City of Kankakee
Kankakee, Illinois - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kankakee County Government, Kankakee, Illinois

Will County, Illinois > Home

Kankakee is largel a farming county with small communities . Kankakee is a the largest of the farming community with a population of about 39k the last time I looked at population. .

Will county is 5x larger than Kankakee. It is a county of greater wealth that has a generally well regarded school system. It is closest to Cook County.

You could possibly lie in Will and be half-way between Kanakee and your future job. I urge you to reseach both area and visit both areas before you make a final descision.

With so little info to go on as far as your ability to buy or rent, it's hard to offer real specific answers that will serve you well. Some of the problem lies in the diverse nature of housing available within a fairly short drive ... and also the costs of the homes and cities within that drive. There's a large variety and variance from which to choose. Plus, within a small radius there is everything from very rural to fairly metro ... something more dictated in tastes or modes of living. You will be able to choose the style you like, which is a plus. (I-57 especially makes that possible). Please feel free to contact me with more specific details. I'll answer as best as possible. Best of luck, no matter your decision.
