High demand careers
Just curious, what are some high demand careers in Indiana? Are there careers in Indiana that are frequently hiring?

nursing - ditto. Just about the only thing. Problem is it is nearly impossible to get into a nursing program - doesn't matter how smart you are - no clinical space available.

Pharmacist. If you've got 8 years to spend in school and a good enough background to get in, they're in demand pretty much anywhere you would want to move in the country.

Isn't there a Pharmacy assistant .....I forget the proper name for it, but they are not full-fledged pharmacists.

There are pharmacy technicians. They usually don't make much in community setting (ie Walgreens/CVS/etc) , probably around $7-8 dollars an hour starting out. Techs in the hospital generally start out a little better, around $11-12 plus shift differentials, but the hours can be more inconvenient at times and they are required to use slightly more complicated math and perform additional kinds of tasks that those in the community setting don't do.

I have been wondering the same thing. The only interviews I seem to be able to get in this state are jobs that pay $800 a month and they are not close enough to my parents house that I could continue to live with them and commute. I spent 17,000 dollars to get a college degree from IU and the only interviews I can get here in Indiana are jobs that pay $800 a month.

What type of a degree/education did you come away with? Maybe someone will know of a market for your education in another location.
