We moved to B-town about 6mths ago and are currently renting. Looking at a property in the Arlington Heights school district and we have a 6yr old starting Kdg. in the Fall. What is the feel of this school? I have all the stats, I was a public school teacher for 7 years, but there's nothing like REAL experiences with a school! I taught in a school with 80% free/reduced and it was very rough. This looks to be around 50% give or take. Anyone with kids in or were in Arlington Heights? The new principal there seems wonderful, I'm mostly trying to get an idea about the population there and if it's a "rough" crowd. Any info would be very appreciated! It's difficult when you are so new to the area!

From my research it would be a better bet to focus on Childs or Roger/Binford. Even if the schools are not that different, for resale purposes you might be better off with a better rated school. If we were to move to Bloomington, we would only focus on neighborhoods that are zoned for the above mentioned schools.
