Good luck. This area does not have many small homes at all. Potential for some along the river closer to Westfield and an occasional one maybe. I used to live in the middle of this area. There has been some torn down for bigger homes due to value of land. House prices in this area are high also.

Might help if you would give an idea of $$ you could spend or whether you would live in Carriage house or ??? Any special needs like pets to accomodate? Any reason you need to live in this specific area, like kids who want a particular school?

A lot of the houses in the neighborhoods that straddle the intersection of 71st and Keystone are fairly small.

There are a few apartments in 46240 for around $800. You could do an apt for a year, and look for a house during that time.

Any area nearby the North Meridian street, which is good and where I can look out for an apartment.

Well, there are no apartments on North Meridian Street. Fully residential with large lots and expensive land. However, I always suggest Northview Apartments for a starter. Good location on 86th Street with easy access to all you need. Whole Foods and a new Kroger are just a few blocks away with Target, library, etc. Jordan YMCA also a few blocks away. On 86th Street is everything you could ever need. The Monon Trail for walking or biking is also a couple of blocks away. If my husband and I were moving, we would seriously consider this area. Sidewalks for miles along 86th. Down the street is also the high end mall for window shopping, etc.
