Good luck with that, coz at least for now, the mild weather will be long gone by next week! Barring another mid winter thaw, you would be arriving about the historically average timeframe of when the worst of the bitter cold air usually settles in at Indianapolis. You would have literally been better off arriving today and leaving Friday if you wanted to take advantage of the unseasonably mild weather. Just my humble opinion, so just take me above statements with a grain of salt.

I for one like the roller coaster weather. It is fun to shovel snow, use an umbrella and wear shorts all in one week.

This morning's weather is one of those rare freak days worth mentioning. A very slight rain/snow mix landed on cold pavement and has turned the area into an ice skating rink. Wrecks every where. DOT didn't get out until 3AM. They got caught unprepared
This doesn't happen often but when it does it is a mess.
