My sister is moving to Indy from Columbus as her husband has just gotten his dream job. She is overwhelmed with trying to sell their house, rental properties and beginning to explore a totally new city for her job prospects, housing, schools, etc.

They thought they would relocate to Fishers for several reasons (north side is closer to both sets of grandparents, nice area but not too snooty, excellent schools, etc.) However, her huband has been living in a rental in Carmel for a week now and says the commute from Fishers to downtown Indy is 35 minutes, too long for his taste. They want a house in the $250,000 range with excellent schools, proximity to downtown (easy commute) and a friendly neighborhood feel with lots of young families.

Any hints or suggestions?

A 35 minute commute is too long? YGBKM! Unfortunately, that's probably a common commute from any of the collar burbs. Maybe Greenwood is closer??
Good luck wi-dat.
