Okay, I've tried Fire Fox, Chrome, and Opera and all three have major issues. They all freeze up or crash entirely and especially when watching you tube videos. I've tried enabling and disabling plugins on Chrome but it crashes either way.

I installed a new version of Opera and it worked fine until I tried to watch a video and it locked up half way through. What the hell is going on these days, I never used to have these problems before, all I want to do is surf the web but nothing works, thoughts?

When was the last time you updated your video drivers? (assuming we are talking about a Windows system)...

What Windows version? Video card? Last time you did a Windows update?

Do you bother to run an AV program? Malwarebytes? Ccleaner?

Anything?

I can't find my crystal ball either...

Nvidia video drivers have been updated recently (few weeks ago ) the card is a G force 210, windows update just a few day ago. Running win XP pro and running Avast anit virus with updates regularly .

It seems like the main problem with chrome is the adobe flash, I have to enable to run videos but then the whole browser crashes soon after.

I downloaded Opera recently and it was having all kinds of issues and the troubleshoot guide suggested downloading to a new folder. So far it's decent, not quite as reliable and fast as I like but at least it's doing better than Chrome and Firefox.

All I want to do is surf the web with out the system being slow, locking up/freezing or crashing.

Download and run Malwarebytes.

Filehippo is safe I've used it for years and never had any problems.

What version of Flash and the Flash plug-in do you have installed?

I decided to switch to "off road mode" in Opera, so far it seems to be helping. I have Adobe flash 11 not sure the version of plug-in.
