I don't use my email to communicate with other people. I just use it for email notifications for this site and other message board sites and for when I get a message on a dating site

So as far as me sending a email to another person I think that is a thing of the past

Well for some of us, sending a email to a buddy or co-worker is a common occurrence. I guess it just depends on who you are.

But why when you have Facebook?

Screw fakebook! That's one waste of of a website I'll never use. Too much drama, data mining, sissys and unstable people. Zuckerberg can just suffer.

I agree. We all have different opinions.

Not everyone uses FB and some that used to are choosing not to any longer. I have an elderly uncle (yes, even older than me) whom I love dearly. He doesn't use FB. We stay in touch by email. He likes to write and I love to read what he writes. We've tried telephone calls but unfortunately my voice doesn't usually last as long as I'd like. So we talk to each other in frequent emails and less frequent phone calls. End result? He's happy with it and that makes me happy.

Exactly, reliable communications without all the drama, such as there is on fakebook.

That's actually a accurate name for the site, "fakebook"

Yep, that's why I renamed the site what it should have been from it's inception.

I never understood how it became that way. Why did people feel exaggerate certain parts of their life?

Almost like it's a competition to see who has the better life

I mostly use email at work. I used to use it when I was dating, as well.

If I want to communicate with friends, we'll either talk or text generally.
