There is nothing wrong with wanting to purchase an installation DVD vs download and burn an ISO image... And wanting to do so in no way indicates that the person wanting to do it is computer illiterate. Stop being so obtuse...
I think the difference might be that linking to a Google search page that has the answers the poster is looking for is considered okay, but the lmgtfr is considered rude. I know it's a fine line, but that seems to be the case.
When I link to a Google search I will give an explanation of why and let them know what to look for in the results when I remember to.
