I suggest a core and explore strategy, have a well diversified portfolio that is long term money and take a certain percentage you are willing speculate with. I trade some but it is very difficult to get it right all of the time. Trading commodities is even more of a gamble. I'll admit it is fun trading when up and gets the frustration levels up when down.
