Ok so I bought about 1000 shares of GRPN back in March at about 8.50, with confidence it would go to 10 and I would bail. Obviously that didn't work, since then the shares took a nose dive and went down into the. 5's at one point...now with some upgrades, etc etc, it is back into the 8s and went as high yesterday as the 8.40s. I'm torn between bailing when I get back to break even, or riding it out now, with another good earnings, especially with holiday purchases in the 4th quarter, a good report could send this to 10, a bad one and down I go back to the 6's again.. Am I off base in my thinking?
Sell it, even if it means a small-moderate loss. GroupOn, LivingSocial, etc. have run out of their novelty factor. The expenses are simply not attractive to the businesses anymore. Many of the customers does not come back.
