Is Gerald Celente 1 or 2?
1) Grumpy, bitter old alarmist / Texas sharpshooter who is great at commanding an audience
OR
2) Visionary who deserves our respect

Some of both, but I lean more toward #2.

I think he is an idiot. Well, idiot might be too harsh, but I don't give any weight to what he says.

For me he completely jumped the shark when on Coast to Coast AM he made some reference to not being sure if 911 was an "inside job" or not. That was a couple of years ago but I think he was on board with the "controlled demolition" theory nonsense. That's when I said I've had enough of this old geezer.

These people are pure investment poison. They think they know everything so much better than anyone else ("truthers") yet their investment advice was completely wrong. Every time anything like this comes up - don't listen. Save your money and sanity.

Yeah. Sell all your stocks and buy gold in preparation for the collapse of the money system and complete chaos. That's been catastrophic advice for a few years now. A lot of these economic alarmists are finally giving up and lightening up on their huge gold positions, but way too late.

I give him the benefit of the doubt. He did predict the Soviet Union's fall, and now he is predicting ours (USA), yet every new year is "THE YEAR" .... so that's getting old. I agree the USA is heading downward, just not as fast as he thinks.
