What if I get QQQ now and hold it for a year ? Will the price rise by 15-20% ?

China, Russia, EU are looking at Recession, does that mean we will get allot of foreign money to boost our stocks this year ?

The so called experts on CNBC and in various investment newsletters tell us all the time they know what the stock market is going to do and the media and general public keep listening to them because we respect experts!

Well if the pundits get it wrong what chance do us mere mortals have.

I totally agree with all the comments above.

having said that, if you want an opinion here is one.

I opened QQQ and looked at it.
If you believe to technical analysis....
trying to predict the graph using very basic technical analysis tools
the graph is at a point where it could break down in the short term.

Fear seems to be rising and greed falling. This is good for long term investors, but not good if you plan to hold QQQ for one year.
I looked up at the sky yesterday and the stars told me that QQQ will be down 10% for the year. Cash and defensive stocks are the place to be if you think short term. Juice returns by selling options.

No it will not, unless FED decide to pump the market again.

The price will either be up, or down. Possibly the same. One of those, anyway.

Where will the NASDAQ go this year? Gee, I have to agree with GeorgiaTransplant. Either up, down or unchanged. I'm also gonna go way out on a limb and predict that the NASDAQ will mirror what the DOW and S&P do but with a little bit more volatility, just as in every year prior.

Now you are armed with the knowledge you need to invest.
