GoPro's gross margin in the fourth quarter came in at 48%, above the company's expectations for margins of 43.5%-44.5%.
For full year 2014, GoPro revenue totaled $1.39 billion, up 41% from the prior year. Units shipped in 2014 rose to 34% to 5.2 million.

What would stop another co. from entering the adventure camera business say a Sony or something? Just not sure what justifies the high valuation of GPRO- I bought at $46 and sold quick after hours, made a couple of bucks was good enough for me but looking further into this co. I have questions on long term growth prospects. I understand it was a hot Christmas item this past yr but I question how many people want such a camera, maybe more in Asia will propel. Maybe I'm short sighted about this but I do adventurous activities but do not feel I need to film it. I guess I don't get it for the masses.
