I have the problem where my account was closed due to a negative balance. then all of the sudden out of the blue I get a child support check by direct depositon on this closed account so the b ank keeps it for overdraft fees and does;nt even tell me. so I got really worked by two separate banks seizing my chils support that i really needed and had'nt recieved in 8 yrs.
my fiance"s bank account was garnished for back child support they took 7,000 he only had 1600 so that made him negative over5000 can they do this ....his ex has agreed to contact the att general because we handle child support through our selves how can she drop the assistance of the attorney general
After 11 years of being the sole provider for my son, I just rec'd notice from the court stating the non custodial parents assets were seized and the bank should release the said amount. I am very surprised. What recourse does the non custodial parent have? The seizure is for delinquent payments..how soon does a bank release the funds.
