The 2040 is over $30 per share but the 2035 and 2045 are both under $20. I figured that they would be closer to each other since I thought they have the same types of investments but different ratios.
10 shares of a 1.00 stock going up 10% is the same as 1 share of a 10 dollar stock going up `10% . the percentage that it went up represents different dollar amounts but the gain or loss in total is what counts. think of a stock split if it makes it easier to understand .
a 10% increase in your investment is the same total dollars before and after a split
I understand that but I'm more curious about the price difference and why is 2040 50% more? Why is it that much more valuable? I guess my concern is that I'd be buying too high and might be better off if I invest in the lower price one.

i am glad you asked and someone will give a better answer than me.
cost per share means nothing. a higher per share cost doesnt indicate a higher price. it doesnt even imply it or give any indication whatsoever of it. dont worry about it. the only time i cared was when the lower cost caused me to buy so many shares that the transaction cost increased.
2035 has total assets of 25.6billion
2040 18.6 billion
2045 17 billion
Amount of shares outstanding impact price per
2040 and 2045 are close but one is over $30 and the other is $19. I guess I won't worry about it but it feels like I'd be buying it too high and I might get more long term with the $19 one but I don't know enough to know. Lol
