I bought Boeing today at 371 after a 55 point drop due to the recent airplane crash. I was a flight attendant for 35 years. I flew the 727, 737, 757, 767 and 777. Best airplanes out there. McDonnell Douglas and Airbus are terrible planes. The crash will be resolved and it won’t hurt the stock.
I want to buy it but want to give it a few more days when we know more. Would rather buy it knowing the worst is over. What makes you think domestic airlines won’t at least ground some of these planes? Seems like more bad news can easily hit next few days.
The majority of crashes are pilot error. These planes are basically flying computers. Both of these crashes were on foreign carriers. Boeing will figure out what caused it and fix it. They are the best airplanes out there. Even if they ground some planes, it’s a short term problem. Airlines love Boeing planes. This will blow over.
There is no good competition. The Boeing planes are already on order.
My heart breaks for these passengers, the flight crew and their families.

The pilot in control of that airplane was 29. His inexperience may have been a factor. That would be considered very young to be a captain for a major airline in the USA.

Good point. What was the suspected cause of the Lion Air crash?
Cleared some MMAC at the lunch buzzer. Might be a good place to be as interest stirs up but I sat a year and didn't get any better understanding of what was up. I think there's something there.....just don't know what.
Anyway, a slow turn, but a turn all the same.
