The best place to get a good steak and good service and great drinks is a restaurant tucked away in small town Iowa. Archie's Waeside in LeMars.( by Souix city) OMG. The steak is ALWAYS good. They but their own 'herd' and doing everything in house. it's aged right and I think some of the cuts are cut when you order. The salads rock and I don' think there is one bad item on the menu. The salads are great and they give a relish tray cheese, carrots etc. Also they have homemade corned beef. Ohh my mouth is watering just thinking about it. you will not leave hungry or soon and the atmosphere is very conductive to having a good ole fashioned shoot the s**t session. awesome and the are reasonably priced.

To anyone who makes their living dragging trash or garbage, may I suggest the dining room at the Jamboree/I80 truck stop. Their pork chop dinner is truly excellent, second only to the meal I had at an Amish owned truck stop (yes, there is at least one!) in southeastern Minnesota. The buffet is also high quality, and quite reasonably priced, considering that almost every item featured is prepared on site. If the words in the first sentence sound strange, don't worry- its just a howdy-do to other old timers in the trucking industry.
