Considering the areas; Ridgeland, Madison, and Tupelo. We have 4 children, we would like to rent a home for the first year. Hubby is retired, I'm a RN. Were coming from NJ, our son is going to school at Tulane. Were moving so we can be closer to Tulane to attend all his games. I figure I can find a job as a RN anywhere. Any ideas on that?
You have a beautiful area..my questions need an insiders point of view
How's the weather...any extreme storms/tornados/Floods? Any areas to stay away from bc of flooding?
Any nuclear plants in the area? We have tons in NJ they freak me out!
Shopping... is there a nice mall nearby? Book stores? Panera Breads?
How are the Parks and Recreation depts? When we moved to NJ we started a few sports porgrams, because we had very little here. We'd like to be in an established town this time.
How do you think the transition will be for my high schoolers? (They are friendly outgoing girls) Are people not from the area accepted easily?

Madison is about 3 hours closer to Tulane than Tupelo and the high schools in Madison are good. Yes, they have plenty of nice shopping, restaurants, sports programs, etc. It's a typical well planned, upper end suburb.
