We moved to Jackson, MS from Florida this year 2011. I HATE it. We live in Northeast Jackson. Honestly, I've never met such unfriendly people.

Come on over a few miles to Clinton...I just moved here and everyone is friendly. I have a co-worker that lives in north east Jackson and I will chew him out for being mean to you
Seriously, sorry you're having a hard time. I moved here from Utah at the end of June and am having a wonderful time. Wish you were too. How long have you been here? Hope things get better.

Yeah hope things get better for you! I live in Florida but I'm from Mississippi, now every state in the south has dangerous parts but everyone knows Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and South Carolina are most dangerous states in the south and not talking about racism, I'm talking about crime in general!

It's been years since I lived in Jackson, but from what I can remember about Northeast Jackson if your not a doctor,lawyer or indian chief, people seem to turn there nose up at you. Madison was a good place[not sure now with a lot of people moving there back in the day]. Brandon was pretty nice as well. Hope things get better for you.
