After driving 16hrs from the north of upstate NY to Jax FL. I think I do fell regret some. But my guts tells me this was a mistake that you ever made. Why you have to take highways every time when you need something? Why drivers in jax are so unprofessionals? Another funny thing is: I was doing nothing and I told myself to drive to FSCJ at downtown. Why so many homeless are there across to the college? Aren't there any other places to let them stay? why it has to be next to a college?

It is unclear but I am assuming you recently moved from upstate New York to Jacksonville and are regretting this decision?

If so you won't regret it when December/January rolls around .

There are 3 other FSCJ campuses, I think. Jacksonville is among the largest cities in the nation, area-wise. I'd rather have interstate highways to traverse our city versus the alternative.

Those homeless are harmless. Yes we have perhaps too many homeless services in downtown.

Try the FSCJ Kent Campus or South Campus depending on where you live, instead of the one downtown. You can get almost all courses at those other campuses.

There are plenty of areas you can live where you wouldn't need to take the highway for everything. Sorry about the drivers, I think you'll adapt quickly. But I often hear that drivers in FL are so bad because many of them are from NY lol...

One of the most annoying things about the homeless is how often they choose to be homeless in inconvenient places or in plain view of more privileged people.

Try learning sentence composition before attacking a City.

Something tells me with an attitude such as yours, Jacksonville is not going to be a good experience. And here I am trying like hell to sell my house in the Midwest so I can move to JAX. It is a great city- I've found the people to be extremely friendly ( southern hospitality) and many things to do. I agree there are a lot of highway commutes as the city is spread out but once you pick your area/community then you probably will mostly use side streets etc.

The only thing I find discouraging about JAX is that if you want to live somewhat close to the beach that housing is very expensive and so many neighborhoods have HOA fees which I am not used to but if you want your neighborhood to look nice then pay the fees you must.
