Default Hi rise beach condo living

I'm thinking about trying to find a long term rental in a condo in Jax, Neptune, or Ponte Vedra Beach, preferably in one of the hi rises on 1st Street or oceanfront, but I'm curious/worried about noise from cruisers and neighbors. Anyone had any good or bad experiences with one property versus another? Thanks.

I have a friend that lives in Jax beach one block from the ocean. She has a beautiful beach view from her 7th floor balcony. She says the only bad part about her condo rental is that her landlord isn't very attentive when it comes to maintenance issues. No complaints about noise and she's gotten very close to her neighbors. I would say go for it!
