Finally got my first interview since I was laid off in November 09. It was at the gas station I used to work at about 5 years ago. Everything is kosher for me being hired, but I have to wait for their rehire department to do all reference checks and stuff. The manager of course is still waiting on them to finish up with 3 other applications so she can hire them as well. Oh well, I will at least have my unemployment checks until the start date, whenever that may be. I also have another dozen applications I put in at the beginning of this week, so we will see if something comes of those.
Great news and good luck! You may have more than one opportunity if you have 12 apps out--let's hope. It is nice to hear that people are starting to get hired.
