For those of you that have been out of work for a long time, I feel sorry for you, but what drives me crazy looking at all the doom and gloom posts from countless City Data participants is we don't know enough about you to determine if it is the economy or your situation is impossible in any era.

You say there is no jobs out there and you have been unemployed for 2 or more years and have lost hope. But for everyone like you there are countless people who lost their jobs and landed back on their feet in a short period of time. We don't hear from the average person who lives in a larger metro area that has many job openings. Only a small minority that has lost hope and like to pent and moan and grown.

Maybe you are in your 60s and employers assume you should be on Social Security. Maybe you are mentally ill and weigh 400 pounds and no would hire you even back in the boom years. Maybe you are living in a small town with only a handful of employers. Maybe you are in a dead or dying career and can not accept you need retraining. Or maybe your job hunting and communication skills stink?

If you are a long term unemployed person us readers need to know more to determine if it is your fault or the fault of the economy.

Just curious. When you get banned from one user account (Weekend Traveler, Stranded and Lonely, etc.), do you go through the trouble of getting a new IP through your ISP? Or do you go through a proxy server to confuse the mods here?

I am beginning to think there is something mentally wrong with the OP. No offense. Thread after thread of the same thing, namely trying to demonize the unemployed and their supposed faults.

Unfortunately, the same posters he/she is demonizing are typically the same ones feeding these threads. Best folks can do is disregard the OP. Maybe, just maybe, OP will start getting hungry and move to greener pastures (another forum) where he/she can create countless more threads chastising college grads, unemployed folks, folks down on their luck, et al.
