CareerBliss 2013 Best and Worst Cities to Find a Job - CareerBliss

my favorite Indianapolis is #9 on the list.
Do you agree with this ranking? or would you flip flop some cities on the list?

It is hard to take this list seriously when it lists Los Angeles as the number one best city to find a job, for it has one of the worst job markets in the country.

Depends.
Are they counting the mass amounts of Illegals in that city?
I mean if your an Illegal how in the world you expect to get a job. What would be more interesting is does the BLS count that as unemployed?

The linked site is one of many thousands which regularly compile unsubstantiated data and which data is simply dependent on a freelance author's internet searches. Anybody who takes this sort of paid-for hack data for "fact" is, in my opinion, very naive.

CareerBliss lists should be taken with a grain of salt. Their polls aren't done scientifically. There isn't random sampling. They base their lists on employee reviews. In other words, these are based off of the people who self-select by going to their website to write a review.

The list seems very off to me. Even when the economy is going great guns, Tucson has always been a tough place to find a job unless you want to work retail or in a call center. Personally, Phoenix was a great place to find work for me in 2012. Moved back to town the first week of August and had 3 job offers by Labor Day.

I don't believe any city is better or worse for finding a job. It really depends on what type of work you're looking for.

These lists are often false and, IMO, tend to be more of a way for a writer to boost the reputation of their own city.

depends...am I looking for a waiter job or an executive job? Also, depends on what industry...Houston is a big oil industry but may not have a lot of let's say accounting jobs...

Plus it states L.A. is #1 to find a job....ha! People are leaving in droves because the economy sucks in LA and the cost of living is through the roof.

Boulder was the number 1 worst city! Finally, revenge! Take that, stuffy Boulderites!
