This^ It can range from escorting a family member to a Dr. appointment to just discussing an issue or looking after a child for a relative for the day.

This is probably the best idea. Does your company have a policy of asking for a doctor's note? I never have heard of anyone asking for a tow bill, although I suppose it could happen.

If you're unemployed this isn't something you should worry or wonder about. Worry about things that will have a direct impact on your life in regards to being unemployed.
And for the record, I have never heard of needing a doctor's note or a repair bill to be shown as proof. Most places only require a doctor's note if you're out sick for more than 3 or 4 days.
