I am 23, in the IT field, and am DESPERATELY wanting to get out of Arkansas and move to a big city. I have been out of college a year and a half. It was my original intent to move to a big city upon college graduation but I ended up staying here. Now I am deeply regretting that decision and want to make it right but don't want to pack up and move without a job.

Unfortunately, big city employers have enough local talent to draw from that they usually will immediately throw out a resume with a non-local address. How can I get around this? Should I leave my address off or lie about it? I really don't like the idea of lying on my resume. I will be moving somewhere that I know nobody so I don't have a friends' address I can use. Thanks for any advice.

U can lie about it which I've done before, just make sure it's a legit address. What's wrong with Fayetteville? Man I'd love to live there my sister did, u can have a huge house for 1/4 the cost. How will u decide what city u are moving to?
