All I have is this quote from the King James Version.

Numbers 23:22
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

What does the Torah say about this?

Many things wrong about this:

You quoted something from the King James Christian Bible...which is not our Torah.

אֵל, מוֹצִיאָם מִמִּצְרָיִם--כְּתוֹעֲפֹת רְאֵם, לוֹ
"God who brought them forth out of Egypt is for them like the lofty horns of the wild-ox."

El, motsiam m'mitsrayim, c'toafot re'em lo.

Fyi: Reference the Tanakh instead of using Hebrew.

Numbers 23 / Hebrew - English Bible / Mechon-Mamre

So it appears the phrase "lofty horns of the wild-ox" in the Torah was translated into "unicorn" when the King James Version of the Christian Bible was written.

As this poster points out, the word "unicorn" is used several times in the KJV. Does the Torah always refer to "lofty horns of the wild-ox" in these places or are there other phrases used in the Torah?

You've been given a link to an on-line Tanakh and you have a list of the verses in question.

Look it up.

Thanks for mentioning this documentary. I had no idea people were so interested in this unicorn stuff.

I couldn't find a web site that would let me watch it. Do you know of any?

I had never realized there was such a good site to read the Tanakh. I easily found all of the passages that correspond to parts of the King James Version where "unicorn" is mentioned.

The Tanakh used the phrases "horns of the wild-ox" or just "wild-ox".

Do you have any idea what kind of animal the Tanakh is referring to? Is it just a normal ox or some kind of special breed? If it is a special breed, are there still animals like that running around?
